| Beschrijving keerzijde | The central field is dominated by a semicircular raised panel depicting a scene inspired by the early Christian mosaics of Ravenna, showing the Good Shepherd seated among a flock of sheep in a pastoral landscape, nimbus visible around his head and a staff in hand, rendered in low relief with fine detail. Below the pastoral panel, a rectangular band bears a decorative wave or scroll motif evoking late antique ornamental art. In the lower field, the denomination 50 EURO is prominently inscribed, with the engraver's signature C. MOMONI and the Rome mint mark R appearing nearby.
