Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse features the iconic glass Pyramid of the Louvre in the foreground, rendered in perspective against the classical facades of the Louvre palace in the background. Through the pyramid's transparent structure, the Winged Victory of Samothrace is visible as an artistic centrepiece. The legend 'LOUVRE' and the mint's hallmarks appear at the base of the pyramid, flanking either end of the inscription. The initials 'RF' (République Française) and the face value '50 EURO' are inscribed above the palace roofline in the upper field.
Schrift voorzijde Latin

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse presents two full-length portraits after Rembrandt van Rijn's celebrated companion paintings of Marten Soolmans and Oopjen Coppit, depicted in formal seventeenth-century attire against dark grounds. The subjects face one another across the central axis of the rectangular flan, with their names and the painter's name inscribed between the two compositions. The year '2025' appears within the central inscription field. The border of the coin is ornamented with a design echoing the original gilded frames of the portraits, alternately bearing the names of the two custodial institutions: 'RIJKSMUSEUM' to the left and 'LOUVRE' to the right.
