Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse features a highly detailed, relief depiction of Braya alpina (Alpine rockcress), an endemic flowering plant of the High Tauern, rendered in a naturalistic Art Nouveau-influenced style. Two prominent blooms with elongated petals and visible stamens occupy the left and center of the field, with additional blossoms extending toward the lower right. The legend REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH arcs across the upper field in stylized lettering, while the denomination 50 EURO appears prominently to the right. The date 2020 is inscribed in the lower left, and the scientific name BRAYA ALPINA is placed along the lower rim.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse presents a panoramic view of the Hohe Tauern National Park landscape, dominated by the imposing Grossglockner massif rendered in fine relief against a textured sky. A golden eagle is depicted in soaring flight in the upper portion of the field, its wings spread wide against the mountain backdrop, conveying the grandeur and wildlife of Austria's largest national park. Rocky alpine terrain and glacial features are rendered with meticulous detail in the lower field. The inscription HOHE TAUERN appears as the primary legend, identifying the national park celebrated by this issue.
