| 表面の説明 | The obverse presents full-length figures of Saint Benedict and Saint Scholastica standing facing one another within an architectural setting rendered in high relief. Saint Benedict, depicted at left with a long beard, is vested in monastic robes and holds a crozier in his left hand and an open book in his right, a halo encircling his head. Saint Scholastica, at right, is similarly haloed and robed, holding a dove with outspread wings between the two figures. The names BENEDICTUS and SCHOLASTICA are inscribed in the field between the figures, with the date 2002 above. The outer border carries the legend REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH along the upper arc and 50 EURO along the lower arc. |
