| Reverse description | The reverse displays a faithful high-relief rendition of the celebrated Mycenaean funerary mask known as the Mask of Agamemnon, excavated at Shaft Grave V at Mycenae and now held in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens. The bearded male face is depicted with almond-shaped eyes, prominent ears adorned with stylised spiral ornaments, and a carefully rendered beard and moustache. The Greek legend Η ΠΡΟΣΩΠΙΔΑ ΤΟΥ ΑΓΑΜΕΜΝΟΝΑ arcs along the upper rim, while the year 2026 appears at the lower left and the engraver's initials aM are visible at the lower right of the field. |
