Ferruccio Lamborghini founded his car company in Sant'Agata Bolognese in 1963, reportedly after a personal dispute with Enzo Ferrari over the quality of Ferrari's clutches — a story repeated so often it has taken on near-mythological status, though Ferruccio never fully denied it.
