Aanvullende informatie

The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic issued its own coinage as an assertion of administrative independence, though the territory was never recognized as a sovereign state by any UN member. The "Three Springs" series names sites of local geographic and cultural significance within the disputed region. This particular issue appeared in 2020 — the same year the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War ended with Azerbaijan retaking substantial territory, including areas that had been under Armenian control since 1994. The NKR itself was formally dissolved in September 2023 following a one-day military offensive.
