| Obverse description | Central design depicts a scenic view of Lake Sevan with Sevanavank monastery atop a rocky promontory reflected in the calm waters below, rendered in fine relief. Above the central scene, concentric arched lines radiate outward creating a stylized sky or sunburst effect that fills the upper field. The date 2012 appears in the lower exergue area beneath the landscape motif. A circular Armenian-script legend surrounds the entire design along the rim, reading the issuer name and the regional designation Gegharkuniq. |
