| Obverse description | Central design features a scenic depiction of the Ararat region, with a stone church or monastery complex in the foreground set against a landscape dominated by the twin peaks of Mount Ararat in the background. Radiating lines in the upper field evoke sunbeams emanating from behind the mountain, lending the composition a ceremonial quality.
