Comments

This note was printed by the American Bank Note Company for Greece's 1926–27 currency stabilization effort, backed by the League of Nations loan that also established the Bank of Greece as an independent central bank — a condition of the international credit. The 50 Drachmai denomination was prepared but never released into circulation, making issued examples nonexistent by definition. Unissued remainders from ABNC commissions of this period typically survived in printer's archives before eventually reaching the collector market.
