Obverse description The national seal of the Republic of the Marshall Islands occupies the central field, rendered in high relief and featuring traditional Marshallese motifs including a sailing canoe, palm trees, and a frigate bird beneath a radiant sun, all enclosed within a decorative border. The legend REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS arcs along the upper periphery, while the Marshallese national motto JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN curves along the lower rim. The denomination $50 appears to the left field and the date 1991 to the right field. The word SEAL is inscribed on a cartouche at the base of the central device.
