备注

The 2018 Australian $50 note was a security-driven redesign, not an aesthetic one. The Reserve Bank of Australia upgraded the series after widespread counterfeiting of the 1995 polymer generation — the $50 being by far the most frequently forged denomination in circulation, accounting for the bulk of counterfeit notes detected by Australian retailers year after year.

The new note introduced a rolling colour effect and a more complex Federation Star window, making it the most technically elaborate denomination in the redesigned series. It entered circulation on 18 October 2018.
