Comments

Texas never actually issued this note. The Republic of Texas did circulate paper currency in the late 1830s and 1840s — the infamous "redbacks" — but modern Texas, as a U.S. state, has no authority to issue currency. This is a novelty or fantasy item, produced privately and not legal tender in any jurisdiction. The Samuel Houston theme and polymer substrate are marketing choices, not monetary ones.
