Anmerkungen

Not legal tender and never intended to be. This piece was produced by the Diplomatic Security Service as a training and awareness tool — specifically to help foreign nationals and law enforcement personnel in countries targeted by counterfeit U.S. currency identify what a genuine Federal Reserve Note looks like up close. The 1990s saw a dramatic surge in high-quality "Superdollar" counterfeits, most credibly attributed to state-sponsored printing operations in North Korea, and the DSS responded with a range of outreach materials of which this was one.

The oversize dimensions place it outside any legal definition of currency reproduction under 18 U.S.C. § 504, which requires reproductions to differ substantially in size from the genuine article.
