背面描述 A detailed three-quarter aerial perspective view of the Singapore Parliament House fills the central field, rendered with fine architectural precision showing the neoclassical building's colonnaded facade, pitched roof, and surrounding landscaped grounds with palm trees and approach pathways. The denomination '$50' is inscribed in the upper field above the building, and the legend 'PARLIAMENT' curves along the lower rim in large capital letters. The dark proof field provides strong contrast to the polished architectural motif.

附加信息

Issued to mark the opening of Singapore's new Parliament House in 1999, which replaced the old colonial chamber that had served since 1954. The new building had been under construction for several years on the same plot near St. Andrew's Road, and the government commissioned a small run of gold commemoratives to coincide with its inauguration — a relatively common practice for Singapore's Mint during state infrastructure milestones of that decade.

Struck in four-nines gold at 31.10 g, this is essentially a one-troy-ounce bullion-grade commemorative, though it was sold at a significant premium over spot at issue.
