| Obverse description | Raphael Maklouf's third-portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, crowned and draped, wearing a pearl necklace and drop earrings, occupies the central field. The legend COMMONWEALTH OF THE BAHAMAS arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin characters, while the date 1994 appears in the lower field beneath the portrait.
