备注

The Board of Commissioners of Currency, Malaya had this series printed by Bradbury Wilkinson well before the Japanese invasion — P#14 was prepared in advance and held in reserve, part of a stockpile that became one of the more chaotic currency stories of the Pacific war. When Japanese forces swept down the peninsula in late 1941 and early 1942, large quantities of unissued British Malayan notes were either evacuated, destroyed, or captured, and the exact fate of individual consignments varied by location.

The 50 Dollar denomination saw relatively limited legitimate circulation at the top of the series, which partly accounts for surviving scarcity among genuinely circulated examples.
