Additional information

Robert Goddard launched the first liquid-fueled rocket on March 16, 1926, from his aunt's farm in Auburn, Massachusetts. The flight lasted 2.5 seconds and reached an altitude of roughly 41 feet — a trajectory so modest that Goddard himself described it as comparable to a short walk. The Marshall Islands issued commemorative dollars throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s targeting the collector market directly, with many pieces having negligible secondary circulation.
