| Obverse description | The official seal of the Republic of the Marshall Islands occupies the central field, depicting a frigate bird with outstretched wings above ocean waves, flanked by traditional Marshallese symbols including a sailing outrigger canoe to the right and palm trees to the left, with a radiant sun above. Two crossed traditional implements appear in the upper field behind the bird. The denomination '$50' appears at the left border and the date '1995' at the right border.
