| Obverse description | The obverse presents a composite tribute portrait featuring four superimposed left-facing effigies of Queen Elizabeth II, representing successive official portrait designs used on Canadian coinage throughout her reign from 1952 to 2022. The most prominent effigy, positioned to the left foreground, depicts the Queen in mature age wearing a pearl necklace and pearl earring, with her hair elegantly coiffed; behind it, three progressively younger effigies recede into the field, the innermost wearing a small crown.
