Surrounding the central portrait, a radially divided border presents detailed relief vignettes of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, separated by ornate column-shaped dividers with scroll terminals. Each segment depicts one of the Wonders in finely engraved relief, including the Temple of Zeus, the Colosseum, a lighthouse, a mausoleum, and further ancient monuments. The legend NIUE ISLAND, 50 DOLLARS, ELIZABETH II, and the date 2022 appear in incuse lettering within the lower segment of the central circle. |

| 裏面の説明 | The reverse presents a highly detailed relief depiction of the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, as envisioned by the sculptor Pheidias. Zeus is shown seated upon an ornately decorated throne, his muscular torso draped in a robe falling across his lap and feet, his left hand grasping a tall sceptre. A small winged Nike figure appears to the right of the throne, referencing ancient descriptions of the original chryselephantine statue. The architectural interior of the Temple of Zeus frames the composition, with columns and decorated panels rendered in precise detail. The curved legend THE STATUE OF ZEUS AT OLYMPIA runs along the left arc of the field in bold raised lettering, with the engraver's initials visible at lower right. |
