| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse, designed by artist Eric Boyer, presents a richly detailed close-up composition of zinnia blossoms and foliage native to North America, rendered in fine engraving with a luminous proof finish across the entire field. Two three-dimensional sterling silver-cast sculptural elements are affixed to the coin's surface: a rose gold-plated fully opened zinnia bloom and a gold-plated hummingbird. The hummingbird is mechanically articulated, suspended so that gravitational force causes it to orbit around the central bloom when the coin is tilted laterally, creating a dynamic interactive kinetic effect. The engraved inscription 'CANADA' appears in the upper field, with the date '2020' below, and the artist's initials 'EB' are incorporated into the design. |
