Obverse description The obverse of this rectangular gold bar-format coin features the fourth effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted as a right-facing laureate and draped bust occupying the central field. The legend ELIZABETH II · NIUE arcs across the upper portion of the field, while the date 2015 appears to the right and the denomination · 50 DOLLARS · curves along the lower arc. The engraver's initials IRB are incuse below the truncation of the portrait.
