The Pantheon in Rome has survived virtually intact for nearly two millennia largely because it was consecrated as a Christian church in 609 AD — a political act by Pope Boniface IV that protected it from the systematic dismantling visited upon pagan structures across the late empire. Solomon Islands has issued a succession of large-format gold pieces commemorating ancient architecture, and this sits among the heavier entries in that program at 100 grams.
