| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The portrait, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, shows the Queen with draped shoulders, her hair elaborately styled beneath the tiara.
