Obverse description The right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, bare-headed and draped, appears within a raised circular frame occupying the upper center of the field. Flanking the royal portrait on either side is an intricate bas-relief composition depicting an illuminated manuscript page with dense rows of text, alongside a gothic architectural scene featuring a robed figure, rendered in fine detail. The legend 'NIUE ISLAND' arcs along the left rim and '50 DOLLARS' along the upper rim, with 'ELIZABETH II' running down the right. The Czech Mint monogram appears at the bottom center, flanked by the date '2011' and two raised dots.

Reverse description A finely sculpted double portrait fills the reverse field, depicting the busts of the English theologian John Wycliff on the left and the Bohemian reformer Jan Hus on the right, both facing the viewer in three-quarter view. Each figure is rendered with naturalistic detail, showing long beards, medieval clerical garments, and distinctive flat-brimmed hats characteristic of late-medieval scholastic dress. The two figures are shown in close proximity, conveying their shared intellectual and theological legacy as forerunners of the Protestant Reformation. The legend 'JOHN WYCLIFF' arcs along the upper left rim and 'JAN HUS' along the upper right, separated by a raised dot. A further dot and the engraver's initials 'Z' appear at lower right within the legend border.
