| Obverse description | The right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, bare-headed and draped, appears within a raised circular frame occupying the upper center of the field. Flanking the royal portrait on either side is an intricate bas-relief composition depicting an illuminated manuscript page with dense rows of text, alongside a gothic architectural scene featuring a robed figure, rendered in fine detail.
