Obverse description Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after Arnold Machin's celebrated portrait, depicting the young queen wearing a tiara and a draped neckline. The finely detailed bust occupies the central field, rendered with high relief against a deeply mirrored proof background. The peripheral legend reads CAYMAN ISLANDS to the left and ELIZABETH II to the right, with the date 1979 appearing at the bottom flanked by two raised dots. The Valcambi mintmark CHI appears in a small cartouche to the lower left of the bust.
