| Obverse description | Central oval cartouche bearing the right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, with the legend 'NIUE ISLAND 2012 / ELIZABETH II / 50 DOLLARS' and the mintmark 'mw' surrounding it. Arranged symmetrically around this central effigy are seven smaller oval cartouches, each containing the heraldic coat of arms of a Ukrainian Hetman, identified by Cyrillic inscriptions reading 'ГЕРБ' followed by the respective Hetman's name. The entire composition is set against an elaborate Art Nouveau-style relief background of interlacing foliate and floral scrollwork, with the silver fineness mark 'Ag 999' inscribed at the base of the oval field. |
