| Descrição do anverso |
Struck in high relief, the obverse features the right-facing diademed and draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, as modelled by Arnold Machin. The Queen wears a tiara and light drapery at the shoulder, with finely engraved hair detail. The circumferential legend reads 'EAST CARIBBEAN STATES · QUEEN ELIZABETH II', disposed around the effigy within a plain field. The portrait is the standard second-generation Machin effigy used widely on Commonwealth coinage of the period. |

| Descrição do reverso |
The reverse depicts a dynamic allegorical composition of three winged figures in flight, symbolising the aspirations and dignity of disabled persons as commemorated by the 1981 International Year of Disabled Persons (I.Y.D.P.). One figure soars above, extending a hand to assist a second figure rising upward, while a third winged figure is shown below in a posture of emergence. The denomination 'FIFTY DOLLARS' is inscribed along the lower arc, with the Royal Mint lozenge mintmark centred below the figures. The acronym 'I·Y·D·P' and the date '1981' appear in the upper field. |
