P#CS1 is a collector souvenir sheet, not a circulating banknote — the "CS" prefix in the Pick numbering makes that unambiguous. Belize issued it in 1984 as a commemorative product, and the hybrid paper-and-gold-foil substrate was a deliberate novelty aimed at the philatelic and numismatic market rather than any practical monetary function.
The gold foil bonding process was unusual for the period and has since caused conservation headaches: the foil layer is prone to delamination in humid storage conditions, which is worth noting for anyone keeping this in a tropical climate.
