The design draws upon the enduring legend of the ghost ship of Chaleur Bay and the Northumberland Strait, a spectral apparition reported for over two centuries as a glowing fireball or a three-masted vessel with sails ablaze. Under ultraviolet light, a fully rigged three-masted ghost ship materializes on the horizon, rendered in photoluminescent ink to simulate the eerie glow of the apparition. The legend CANADA 2022 appears within the design, along with the designer's initials NH. The composition balances naturalistic coastal detail with the supernatural narrative, executed in selective color and glow-in-the-dark technology. |
