背面描述 The reverse bears a sculpted depiction of a beaver standing on a rock amid water, adapted faithfully from the classic design first introduced on the Canadian 5-cent coin of 1937. The image is contained entirely within the outline of the coin, which has been struck in the silhouetted form of the beaver itself, so that the subject and its field are one continuous composition. The initials of the engraver appear discreetly within the design field. The overall treatment preserves the naturalistic detail and proportions of the original numismatic source while presenting it at a substantially enlarged and more monumental scale.

附加信息

The Royal Canadian Mint has produced fine silver kilo and 100g collector pieces in this vein for decades, but the gold-plated variant occupies an odd commercial niche — priced above bullion silver but below gold, appealing primarily to gift buyers and registry collectors rather than serious numismatists. Both the .9999 silver substrate and the .9999 gold plating represent the Mint's post-2000 push toward four-nines purity as a marketing differentiator against international competition, particularly the Perth Mint.
