Reverse description A full-colour reproduction of Titian's masterpiece 'Adam and Eve' (c. 1550, Museo del Prado, Madrid) occupies the entire reverse field, depicting the biblical scene of the Fall of Man. Eve, standing at right and partially draped with foliage, reaches toward the forbidden fruit offered by a cherub nestled in the branches of the Tree of Knowledge, while Adam, kneeling at left and similarly draped, gestures toward her. The composition faithfully captures Titian's Venetian Renaissance palette, with rich, warm tones and a verdant landscape background. The scene is framed by an elaborate gilded baroque ornamental border with foliate and scroll motifs at the corners and along the edges, enhancing the coin's artistic character.

Additional information

This piece is part of a broader Lucas Cranach the Elder series issued through the New Zealand Mint on behalf of Niue, a pattern that became common in the 2010s as Pacific micro-states licensed their monetary authority to private minting operations for collector-market bullion products. Niue's arrangement with the NZ Mint dates to the early 2000s and has produced hundreds of themed issues with no genuine connection to the island's economy or circulation.

The .9999 fineness and 15.51g weight correspond to a half-troy-ounce specification.
