The Royal Bluebell (Wahlenbergia gloriosa) was declared the floral emblem of the Australian Capital Territory in 1982, making it one of the few territorial rather than state emblems to appear in this platinum wildflower series from the Royal Australian Mint. The series ran through the mid-2000s in strictly limited mintages, positioning platinum as the prestige tier above the concurrent gold and silver wildflower issues.
