50 Dollars - Elizabeth II

Pick 100 replaced the older $50 series at a moment when Fiji's economy was still recalibrating after the constitutional crisis of the early 1990s and the move toward a new republican framework. De La Rue printed the note in London — routine for Pacific island currencies of this period, where local printing infrastructure simply didn't exist at commercial scale.

Two serial prefixes are documented: J signed by Kuabuabola, K by Narube. Savenaca Narube would go on to serve as Reserve Bank Governor; his signature here appears as Deputy Governor. The Kuabuabola-signed J-prefix notes are noticeably scarcer in dealer stocks.
