To the lower left, a mounted horseman charges across the foreground amid the wreckage of longships and scattered swords. The Public Seal of Niue, featuring a crowned shield with crossed swords and the motto ATUA NIUE TUKULAGI, appears in the left field against a rocky landscape backdrop. | Description du revers | The reverse depicts an elaborate high-relief scene inspired by the climactic events of Andrzej Sapkowski's novel The Lady of the Lake, the final volume of The Witcher book series. At the center stands Geralt of Rivia, sword drawn and poised for combat within the halls of Stygga Castle, surrounded by his companions in the midst of battle. The composition is rendered with fine sculptural detail, conveying dramatic tension and motion throughout the scene. Above the main tableau, the figure of the mage Vilgefortz is positioned overlooking the conflict. The legends THE LADY OF THE LAKE and THE WITCHER BOOK SERIES appear within the design. |
