Additional information

The Maple Leaves in Motion series has been a long-running Royal Canadian Mint flagship, originally introduced under Elizabeth II and continuing now under Charles III — making transition-year issues like this one minor markers of the succession. The .9999 fineness is characteristic of RCM's bullion-grade collector output, a standard the Mint has held since introducing its 9999 silver program in the 1980s to compete directly with the American Silver Eagle on purity grounds.

The selective yellow gold plating is applied post-striking, a technique the RCM has refined across several decades of multi-finish issues.
