| Obverse description | The Public Seal of Niue occupies the central field, depicting a stylised flowering plant within a circular medallion surrounded by an ornate wreath of leaves, all surmounted by a royal crown. Two crossed spears flank the base of the seal, below which a scroll bears the Niuean motto ATUA / NIUE TUKULAGI. The denomination legend FIFTY DOLLARS arcs prominently across the upper field in bold raised lettering.
