Obverse description The obverse features the right-facing effigy of King Charles III rendered in relief against an antiqued silver field, positioned in the upper portion of the outer rim. The sovereign's portrait is executed in a restrained, classical style befitting a modern commemorative issue. The surrounding legend reads CHARLES III to the left and D·G·REX to the right, with the denomination 50 DOLLARS inscribed along the lower arc of the rim. Flanking the central aperture on either side of the outer rim are finely detailed sprays of olive branches and maple leaves in low relief, symbolising peace and Canada's national identity. The antiqued finish imparts a dark, museum-quality patina to the silver rim, contrasting dramatically with the gold-plated central insert.
