Beschrijving voorzijde The obverse features a raised inner disc set within a broad antique-finish silver border, presenting two selectively gold-plated allegorical figures rendered in high relief against a matte silver field. The central composition depicts a robed female figure and a standing male figure in classical dress, positioned upon a decorative shield bearing a maple leaf motif, their gilded forms creating a vivid contrast against the surrounding silver. Flanking laurel branches in low relief adorn the lower portion of the border. The legend CHARLES III D·G·REX arcs across the upper border, with a small effigy of King Charles III visible above at the top of the coin. The denomination 50 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower border in raised lettering.

Aanvullende informatie

The "Allegories" format has been a recurring vehicle for the Royal Canadian Mint's fine silver program for years, pairing constitutional abstractions with high-relief craftsmanship to justify premium price points in the collector market. Charles III's accession in September 2022 opened a new run of such issues under his effigy, replacing the long-running Elizabeth II obverse that anchored the series through its formative decades.

At 144 grams of .9999 silver with selective gold plating, this is a presentation piece with no pretense of circulatory purpose — the $50 face value is purely nominal against its actual issue price.
