| 表面の銘文 | REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS $50 1993 JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN |
| 裏面の説明 | Two Baiji (Chinese river dolphins) are depicted leaping and playing in dynamic poses alongside a traditional Chinese Sampan boat, with a pagoda-style temple and a crescent moon visible in the background, evoking the natural habitat of this endangered freshwater species. The scene is rendered in fine relief against a mirror-polished field, capturing the graceful movement of the dolphins above the water's surface. The legend BAIJI DOLPHIN curves along the upper portion of the design, while the denomination 50 DOLLARS and the date 1993 appear in the lower field. |

The baiji, or Yangtze River dolphin, was already functionally endangered by 1993 — decades of dam construction, industrial pollution, and net fishing on the Yangtze had collapsed the population to a few dozen individuals. A 2006 survey found none. The species is now considered extinct, making this coin an inadvertent document of a conservation failure rather than a success.
