| 表面の説明 | Central field features the denomination numeral '50' above the Arabic word 'دينار' (Dinar), enclosed within a raised circular border. Surrounding this central cartouche, a broad band carries the country name 'الجمهورية العراقية' (Republic of Iraq) along the upper arc, flanked by an extended Arabic inscription referencing the Non-Aligned Movement and its embodiment of peoples' aspirations for full independence. The name of Saddam Hussein appears prominently in the field to the left. The overall design is rendered in a flat, engraved style with all legends in Arabic script. |

Iraq hosted the sixth Non-Aligned Movement summit in Baghdad in September 1982 — except it didn't, because the Iran-Iraq War had made Baghdad untenable as a host city. The conference was hastily relocated to New Delhi. Iraq had already commissioned this commemorative gold issue in anticipation of the event, leaving the Ba'athist government in the awkward position of circulating coins celebrating a summit held in another country's capital.
Mintage figures for this issue remain poorly documented in Western references. Fr#9 attribution places it within the Iraqi gold commemorative sequence, but auction appearances are infrequent enough that population data is essentially unreliable.
