| Obverse description | Unadorned right-facing bust of King Hussein bin Talal occupies the central field against a deeply mirrored proof background. The effigy, rendered in high relief, depicts the King in civilian dress with collar and lapels visible at the truncation. An Arabic calligraphic legend arcs around the upper periphery identifying the ruler and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The denomination appears in both Arabic numerals and script (٥٠ ديناراً) and in Latin characters (50 DINARS) below the portrait, with the English legend THE HASHEMITE KINGDOM OF JORDAN running along the lower rim. |
