Jordan's 50 Dinar note sits at the top of the current circulating series and is among the higher-value banknotes in active everyday use across the Arab world. De La Rue has printed Jordanian currency for decades, a relationship rooted in the Mandate-era Currency Board arrangements that predated the Central Bank's establishment in 1964.
The 2022 date marks a reissue within the existing series rather than a new design generation — the holographic stripe and thread specifications were updated to address counterfeit pressure that had been documented in the region during the preceding years.
