Tunisia's 50-dinar denomination has historically been the workhorse note of the upper circulation tier, and this 2022 issue continues that role under a central bank that has been managing persistent inflationary pressure and a weakening dinar for most of the preceding decade. The note was introduced as part of a security upgrade cycle rather than in response to any single monetary event.
Pick 100 is recent enough that secondary market data remains thin. Collector interest in modern Tunisian issues tends to concentrate on the earlier Banque Centrale series from the 1970s and 1980s.
