| 表面の銘文 | الجمهورية التونسية 50 دينارا REPUBLIQUE TUNISIENNE 50 DINARS |
| 裏面の説明 | The reverse displays a stylized artistic composition of two facing human profiles rendered in high relief, one male and one female, their features intertwined in a flowing, modernist design evoking national unity. The numeral '7' appears prominently within the design, referencing the date of the November 7th coup. The Arabic commemorative legend arcs across the upper field, with the dual date '1415 - 1994' inscribed centrally, and the French legend '7EME ANNIVERSAIRE DU 7 NOVEMBRE' running along the lower periphery in Latin script. |

Tunisia's "Coup d'état" commemorative series is unusual in its candor — few governments mint coins openly celebrating the overthrow of a predecessor. The November 7, 1987 removal of Habib Bourguiba by Prime Minister Zine El Abidine Ben Ali was officially characterized as a medical coup, with Ben Ali invoking Article 57 of the constitution after doctors certified Bourguiba mentally unfit to govern. Ben Ali then institutionalized the date as a national holiday, and the mint followed accordingly with annual issues.
The seventh anniversary edition in gold was struck in a limited commemorative format consistent with earlier issues in the series. KM#386 sees relatively little secondary market activity outside North African and specialist Mediterranean collections.
