Printed in Zenica during the siege and shelling period of the Bosnian War, this note was produced at Dom Štampe — the same state printing house that had supplied the former Yugoslav republic's official paper goods before the war. That the facility remained operational at all is notable; Zenica was under Bosnian government control but functioned under severe wartime supply constraints throughout 1993–94.
The security provision amounts to a watermark alone — a reflection of what materials and machinery were actually accessible, not a policy choice.
