Designed by Omer Mujadžić and engraved by Božidar Kocmut and Tanasije Krnjajić at ZIN in Belgrade, this note was completed but never placed into circulation — one of several 1950-dated Yugoslav denominations that were fully produced then withheld, almost certainly due to the currency reform politics following Yugoslavia's expulsion from the Cominform in 1948. Tito's break with Stalin forced rapid institutional repositioning, and monetary policy was not immune. The suffix "K" in the Pick reference denotes an unissued specimen type, and surviving examples are printer's remainders rather than returned circulation stock.
