Obverse description The Imperial Iranian lion passant, shown in profile facing right, brandishing a sword in its right forepaw against a rising sun radiating rays in the background — the Shir-o-Khorshid (Lion and Sun) emblem of the Pahlavi dynasty. The denomination in Persian numerals and script appears in the lower field. The design is rendered in a bold, relief style characteristic of Pahlavi-era coinage.

Reverse description The numeral '۵۰' (50) in large Persian script occupies the central field, flanked by a symmetrical wreath of oak branches tied with a ribbon at the base.
